Simon Tang/Midi Gor is active as a Hong Kong Guitarist( Electric/ Acoustic & Classic guitar, Bass ), Band Leader / Sound Engineer and also has been playing several roles in terms of event planning/hosting, director etc. . Simon Tang — Mons Music entrepreneur, multidisciplinary artist and founding member of 電瞳Oculushk. He is a musician, composer, event producer and photographer/filmmaker. He is active in many areas, including Hong Kong Guitarist (electric/acoustic/classical/bass), Band Leader, Sound Engineer… etc. and has been involved in diverse domains across disciplines/industries of contemporary times as event designer / director & producer. He is based in Perth, Australia (for two years) and Hong Kong Performance collaborated with musicians and composers, including MYO (Bass, Acoustic Guitar player in orchestra), Chung Ying theatre (flamenco guitarist in Don Quijote de la Mancha) and Cellistizzimo( cello orchestra). He was invited to BEIJING, MACAU(ACG event), MALAYSIA(Oculus) for band play by GOD(hk). As a classical guitarist, he enrolled in the masterclass of Álvaro Pierri, Pepe Romero, Au Wing Coi and Mr. Richard Samuel T Klemke etc.
He collaborated with Viu TV, as well as many private companies and even TVB. He has worked in Horson International limited as a professional toy sound engineer. He was given a chance to be a guitar consultant for Vola Guitar in the Namm Show 2018, He also composed music for movie directors, theater and visual arts. The original band, Tang Wai Fung Simon, appeared in God’s 2017 CD album release and was invited to Beijing, South China and different venues in Hong Kong.. They won a tournament organized by PBIL International Limited, this time in 2019. Also he started a game band, Oculus (電瞳), that is something similar to rock music combined with 3D-effect videos. Nova Esports is a professional gaming company with whom they have secured a commission in order to represent in the competitive events in Malaysia.
As an organiser, he scheduled gaming events, streaming or music performances and wedding booths. He is currently living in Perth studying the creative industries and working on three other upcoming short film productions. Stare — Assistant camera, the director of photography for Cannibal Spice and BTS photography, 2nd assistant camera for The Debts of Death. He is also known as the lead actor / director of photography for Oculus’ tribute music video to “Like a Dragon”
